17 Troubleshooting: Techniques & Utilities

The Diagnostics Console and the Diagnostics Service allow you to log, trace, and better understand OnBase solutions. These logs can include errors, HTTP traffic, web service traffic, database calls, etc. Configuration of the Diagnostics Console and Service determine the types of messages that are logged, and how verbose the messages are for the applications you are monitoring.

This course focuses on Foundation releases of the Diagnostics Console and Service. As of the Foundation release, the architecture of how these solutions are configured has been modified to enhance security, enable more dynamic logging, and provide the ability to integrate with other tools such as Splunk, or the ELK Stack.
