Do you have the most current version of Flash for your browser(s)? Outdated versions of Adobe Flash will result in the inability to playback video. Find out.
This will tell you if the issue is a browser specific setting. In some cases, based on browser configuration, some browsers will have an easier time with streaming video playback.
Try accessing the videos from a different workstation, if possible. This will inform you if the issue is workstation-specific. In some cases, your network security may be preventing you from accessing the videos, but not a coworker or user on another network. Try playing videos from a coworker’s computer.
In most cases, if you are able to rule out your browser and
workstation as the cause of the issue, then your organization has a network policy in place that is preventing you from steaming videos. Are able to stream other video-based
services like YouTube or Vimeo? If not, then you will have to speak with your IT group for
access. Provide them with this documentation.
Does the network have firewalls that are preventing the playback of streaming video content? For example, can you stream YouTube, Hulu, or Netflix?
Speak with your network admin to determine if network security is in place to block streaming video from the following URL: //content.jwplatform.com
